So why should you consider a Pet portrait as a gift to someone special?.
-
A personalized pet portrait holds sentimental value that lasts a lifetime and is more meaningful than a regular photograph.
-
Pet Portraits are a wonderful way to highlight the delicate textures and rich softness of your furry companion, while also capturing their expressive eyes and gentle demeanour.
-
Surprise the animal lover in your life with a one-of-a-kind gift for birthdays, holidays, or to celebrate the special bond between pet and owner.

In my Pet portraits I strive to capture the unique personality of each pet. Whether they are a playful kitten/pup or a majestic senior. See my recent testimonials page for a lovely drawing that I did for a client.
Portraits from Photos (Please see my handy Photo Guide for help and advice on taking the best possible photo for your portrait.) For more than two subjects in a portrait, please contact me for an individual quote.
As a dog and cat owner, I understand the immense love and loyalty they provide as our faithful companions. They are our best friends and bring us endless joy. I cannot imagine working without my furry friend by my side.

Out of all my pet portraits, dogs have been the most popular request. Over the past few years, I have drawn various breeds and crossbreeds. Each dog has its own distinct personality and it's crucial for me to not only depict their physical appearance but also their unique character in my portraits.
Commissioned Pet Portraits
Commission Process
This page provides valuable information for potential customers who are interested in ordering a pet portrait from me. It explains the process of sending me photos of their pets which will be used to create the portrait. Additionally, it includes details about payment, deposits and final balance, as well as how the completed portrait is packaged.

How to commission a pet portrait
Frequently, clients send me emails inquiring about the process of commissioning a portrait of their pet. To assist them, I have created a guide on this page. However, I encourage clients to email me directly for personalized guidance and advice.
For years I have been creating commissioned pet portraits and I am extremely proud of my work. Witnessing the reaction of clients when they see their beloved pet's portrait is a wonderful feeling. It's heart warming to hear back from returning clients, often with a request to draw a new portrait of their new furry family member.
Contact me
You can reach me through the contact form on my website or via email, Facebook, or Instagram. I guarantee a same-day response. Initially, you may have questions about pet portraits, such as wait times and pricing for various animals. I'm happy to answer any questions and provide guidance. If you decide to book a pet portrait but don't have photos yet, a deposit will secure your spot on the waiting list.
Sending me your pet photos
Having clear photos is crucial for me to work on your pet's portrait. You can refer to the photo guidance page for assistance. While one main photo is enough for the portrait, additional photos help me capture the pet's character and colour. If you have more than one pet, it is best to take separate photos of each one. I'll create a mock-up in pencil and send it to you via email to show you the layout and size in relation to each other.
Paying the Booking Fee
You can pay the fee to book your pet portrait even before sending the photos. This secures your slot and allows you time to capture great photos for me to work from. The booking fee is 25% of the portrait cost and can be paid via bank transfer or cash if you're local. I will need to see your photos a few weeks before starting the drawing to ensure they are clear, and more may be needed if they are not. Please refer to the terms and conditions for more information.
Starting your pet portrait
Before I start your portrait, I will contact you to confirm that you are happy for me to start. And that you are still happy with your chosen photo.
I always offer my clients regular work in progress photos along the way. you can opt out from receiving these updates if you would like the finish portrait to be a surprise.
Final Payment
After completing your portrait, I will email you a photo of the finished artwork for your approval. Once you confirm the portrait, I will request the final payment, which must be made before I send the finished piece. Bank transfers are typically instant, and if you are local and collecting the portrait, you can pay in cash.
Packing and sending your pet portrait
Once the funds are processed, I will make arrangements for the safe shipment of your portrait. It will be carefully packaged to ensure its safety during transit, especially for those that need to travel long distances. The portrait will be sent with tracking, insurance and signature confirmation.
